When is my personal tax return due?
Individual federal returns are generally due April 15. You can request an extension to file, but any tax owed is still due by the original deadline.
Do I need to file a Florida state income tax return?
Florida does not have a personal state income tax, so most Florida residents only file a federal return. If you earned income in another state, you may need to file there.
What should I bring to my appointment?
A photo ID, your prior-year return, W-2s, 1099s, Form 1098 for mortgage interest, Form 1095-A if you had Marketplace health insurance, and records of deductions such as childcare, education or charitable donations.
I received a letter from the IRS. What should I do?
